Idaho Fish and Game ask for help finding a poacher

Idaho Fish and Game is asking Boundary County residents for help in finding the person or persons responsible for shooting and killing a young bull moose sometime on or around Dec. 26. Hunting season for moose ended Dec. 1.
The moose was found shot and left to waste just off Plantation Road in Boundary County. This is especially disheartening because the moose population in the Idaho panhandle has been declining in recent years, says IDFG Conservation Officer Nate Gattey.
Idaho moose populations have been declining since the early 2000s, particularly in the panhandle. Wildlife biologists suspect the decline is a result of a combination of factors: habitat loss, ticks and predators.
