NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING CITY OF BONNERS FERRY, IDAHO The City Council of the City of Bonners Ferry will hold a public hearing to consider a new Urban Renewal Plan (URP), created by the Urban Renewal Agency (URA) of the city of Bonners Ferry. The hearing will be held on February 18, 2020 at 6:00 pm at Bonners Ferry City Hall. The URP may be viewed at Bonners Ferry City Hall during regular business hours. The plan identifies the area of the South Hill West Urban Renewal District (URD) and has identified various public infrastructure improvements, that if implemented provide an improved environment for allowing housing to prosper. The URD can be generally described as located on the South Hill west of Highway 95, south of Wilson Street and north of Eisenhower Street, comprising approximately 35 acres of land. A copy of the proposed mapped area can be found within the URP at City Hall. The improvements anticipated within the URP include a new transportation route that connects Wilson and Solomon streets with a new city street that address both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, totaling $778,000; Utility upgrades to water and sewer line improvements, including a new sewer lift station and improvements to sewer lift station #4, totaling $350,000. Additionally, a rebate back to the City for operations within the URD totaling $1,809,150 is also included. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend the hearing on the urban renewal plan developed for the South Hill West Urban Renewal District.
