Theresa Anne Nelson

Theresa Anne Nelson, 60, passed away on Jan. 25, 2020, at the Mannie Gladys Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Feb. 22, 2020, at the Boundary County Fairgrounds, near the main office, from 1-4 p.m.

Theresa was born in Spokane, Wash., where she was adopted. She found her loving family at two weeks old, with Lois Eileen Faber (Mohr) and Harold Edward Faber, better known as “Monk” of Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Theresa spent her school days attending Valley View Elementary and graduating from Bonners Ferry High School in 1977. After high school, Theresa married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Nelson on June 25, 1977. They eventually made their home in Bonners Ferry, while Theresa worked at her family’s store, Corner Drug.

Theresa blessed this world with two sons, Joshua in 1980 and Jeremy in 1984. She had found her passion in caring for others. After the boys grew older she took up a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in 1999 and began working at the Boundary Community Hospital. She stayed for the next 20 years, expanding her skills and job within the Extended Care Facility.

Theresa and Ken enjoyed life raising their boys in North Idaho, exploring the forest, fishing, and camping. Theresa was a creative person who found joy in making crafts that came from the heart, and often was known to crochet items for the residents at ECF to bring a smile. She would often times be found under her apple tree at her home reading a good book and enjoying the sun.

Theresa’s siblings and many who met her, described her as sweet and kind, and always saw the glass as half full and one to be always looking toward the future.

Theresa was preceded in death by her Mother, Father and Husband. She is survived by her sister Patty, brothers Bob and Bruce, along with two sons, Joshua (Teri) and Jeremy (Missy) Nelson, who gave her four grandchildren, Alexander, Ledgen, Abigail and Zachary.
