Man sought for mail theft

There have been several reports of mailboxes tampered with and mail stolen from residents throughout Boundary County over a brief period of time recently.

Boundary County Sheriff’s Office has identified suspects in these cases and currently has a warrant for Jamie David Spain, born March of 1972, for two counts of forgery and one count of possession of forged checks.

Spain has a bond of $20,000 and is currently also wanted out of Spokane and Kootenai County for similar crimes. Sheriff’s Detectives are also looking to talk to his companion Carma Hopper in connection with these cases.
