Mr. Klockmann states that the rotary snow motor which was recently installed at Klockmann to haul ore trucks from Klockmann to Porthill is a great success and is going to solve transportation problems in the snow belts for loggers and mining companies.

The North Bench and Curley Creek volunteer fire departments quickly contained a log fire near a barn off County Road 9.

Aaron Moe, a sixth-grader at Valley View, placed second among five contestants at the Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest.

The City Council on Feb. 15 voted unanimously to approve the installation of 550 ft of security fencing around the city-owned Moyie Springs Hydroelectric Dam to prevent vandalism.
