Woman arrested on drug and injury to a child charges

BONNERS FERRY — A 20-year-old woman was arrested recently on drug charges by the Bonners Ferry Police Department.

Jadin L. Haggett, born in 2000, is being charged with felony, possession of methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance, a misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor driving while under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or an intoxicating substance.

According to court records, Haggett was transporting two young children, ages two and three, on Feb. 2 on Highway 95 near Sunrise Road. Haggett was also charged with a misdemeanor, injury to child; transporting the children while under the influence of alcohol, drugs and/or intoxicating substance.

A preliminary hearing was conducted on Feb. 14 where Haggett’s bond was set at $20,000, and the bond has been met, according to court records.

An arraignment court hearing is scheduled March 5 at 9 a.m. with First District Court Judge Barbara Buchanan.
