Bea Stella

Bea Stella, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away Dec. 21, 2019 at Kootenai Medical Center. The Lord took her home after several years of dealing with health problems.

Bea was born March 9, 1943, in Glendale, Ariz., to Clarence and Ruth Phillips. While she was still at an early age they moved to Redbluff, Calif., and then moved to Hamilton City, Calif., where she grew up. She graduated from Hamilton City High School in 1961.

On Oct. 7, 1961, she was married to Jim Stella and they were happily married for 58 years.

Bea and Jim moved to Sacramento, Calif., where their first son James (Jay) was born in 1965. After six years they moved to Placerville, Calif., where their second son Phillip was born in 1970. Bea worked as a teacher’s aide for 20 years. They lived in Placerville for 32 years.

In 2002, after retirement, Bea and Jim moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, where their son, Phillip and his family were living. Bea enjoyed living in Bonners Ferry. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to Bible studies, doing embroidery with and spending time with friends.

Bea is survived by her husband Jim, and by her two sons, James and his family, of Lancaster, Calif., and Phillip and his family, of Bonners Ferry. She is also survived by two brothers, Jerry Phillips, of Orland, Calif., and Richard Phillips of Magalia, Calif. She is also survived by several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Bea had a deep and abiding love and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and we believe she is home with Him now and forever. She is and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

There will be a memorial service held at Bridgeway Assembly of God Church. The date and time to be tentatively set for April 25, 2020 at 11 a.m.
