A deal was closed yesterday by the real estate firm of Kent and McGlockin whereby the John Hamren residence on the Northside was sold to J.W. Jeffries, the consideration being $2,000.

Contractor R.E. Clapp has completed the new schoolhouse at Copeland and it is now being occupied by the children of the district.

Ice in the Kootenai River is not safe now for horses to cross and it is likely that a channel will be cut soon so the ferry can be used.

The school district announced that it is postponing moving into the new high school building until next fall.

The March of Dimes Crusade has begun.

Three Mile Café and Mt. Hall School were broken into, resulting in a loss of cash and merchandise.

Boundary County is seeing more economic growth then it has in more than a decade, judging by taxable sales. End of the year taxable sales were up by 21 percent.

Badger boys squeak by Timberlake High School with a score of 78-63.

Awaiting help from police, five Amtrak passengers restrained an intoxicated and violent man who struck the conductor twice and disturbed the peace.
