Auxiliary Pie Sale moves to March
This year, the famous Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary Pie and Dessert Sale will be on Monday, March 16, at the Seniors Hospitality Center at 6635 Lincoln Street. The ladies are hoping that moving to March will bring better weather, having it on Monday will encourage more homemade desserts, and moving to the Senior Center will encourage folks to stop and visit.
Pies, cakes, and other desserts will be available for sale in whole or in individual portions. The coffee pot will be on and ready to serve. Plan now to stop by for a slice and a cup of coffee, visit with friends and take a moment to enjoy our fine community. It’s a good idea to come early, as you all know, the proverbial early bird gets the — well, in this case, gets to choose from the widest selection of choice desserts. The Pie Sale begins at 9 a.m. until noon.
Are you a baker? Would you like to contribute some baked goods for the sale? Bring your donations to the Senior Center between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. A check in table will be set up for the donations. In addition to the traditional pie selection, cheesecake, layer cake, other baked goods are also welcome.
Funds raised will be used to purchase patient-focused items for Boundary Community Hospital. In 2019, the Auxiliary purchased a bariatric Geri chair for the Extended Care Facility, surgical instruments, laundry trucks, and a can opener. This year they want to purchase some special seating for the Outpatient and Acute Care waiting rooms.
Come and participate by bringing desserts, and/or partaking of these special sweet treats. Boundary Community Hospital Auxiliary has been supporting the Hospital through fund-raising and volunteering since 1955. Call Lauren Kuczka at 208-267-6912 for more information.
