Young inventors aim for state

Four students from the Forrest M. Bird Charter Schools, including one from Bonners Ferry, qualified to compete at state this March by placing in the Invention Convention Regionals held in Coeur d’Alene.

Grant Chouinard, from Bonners Ferry, placed third in the Jules Verne category with his invention, Blubberfish. Also in the Jules Verne category, Gabe Herron took first place with his invention, Doraemon. In the category Adaptations, Irelynn Jolley took first place with LuluDropit, and DeAndra Chandler took third place with her Cancer Scanner,

“The kids worked hard on these and did so well!” said Mary Jensen, Charter Administrator for Forrest M. Bird Charter Schools.
