BONNERS FERRY — Cornerstone Christian School has welcomed its new head teacher, Esther Holley, from Great Falls, Mont. She brings an extensive experience in education, including home, public, and private school teaching in multiple grade levels.

Holley has a bachelor’s degree in education, and a master’s degree in curriculum development from La Sierra University. She also is pursuing a doctorate in education.

“Cornerstone has been providing a holistic education experience for grades 1-8 since the 1970s,” Cornerstone Christian pastor, Jason Worf, said. “It is a safe place for students to explore and grow in all aspects of their lives — academic, social, physical, and spiritual.”

Cornerstone Christian School is a member of Adventist Education, a national chain of schools.

According to Adventist Education’s website, “the Adventist school system is one of the largest Christian educational systems in the world.”

“Adventist education student’s academic results across the nation exceed public and private schools results in all areas including STEM subjects, languages, and art,” Worf said. “Esther brings a deep experience in teaching all subjects, along with a passion for students to love learning and enjoy school.

Cornerstone is a small school with two multi-grade classrooms; Holley will be the headteacher and oversee both classes with several teachers aides and community volunteers.

Cornerstone has limited space for students and is currently accepting new student applications for the upcoming school year.
