Selkirk Association of Realtors announces scholarships, grants
BONNERS FERRY — Each year the Selkirk Association of Realtors gives thousands of dollars to local groups in need of funding for their community projects and programs in Boundary and Bonner counties. This year, real estate officials locally granted more than $21,000 to individuals and groups in the two counties.
This year’s grant recipients are Arts Alliance/Creations, Sandpoint High School Senior Finance Fair, Sandpoint Youth Center, Food For Our Children, Sandpoint Community Resource Center, DayBreak Center, Helping Hands Healing Hearts, Kaniksu Health Services’ Diaper Bank, Panhandle Special Needs, Bonner Homeless Transitions, VFW and Curley Creek Fire District.
This year’s scholarship recipients are Lindsey McHenry (North Idaho College), Tristan Wagner (Colorado School of Mines), Ethan Wagner (Whitworth College), Sage Saccomanno (Bard College Annadake-on-the-Hudson), Mikayla Schoening (Idaho State University), Aleehia Valliere (North Idaho College), Rachel Meyer (Boise State University), Brooke Stevens (North Idaho College), Soncirey Mitchell (University of Puget Sound), Kelly Curtis (Seattle University) and Wesley Curtis (University of Idaho).
The main fundraiser for this program is the annual charity golf tournament. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the tournament which will be held at the beautiful Idaho Club on Friday, Aug. 14. The Selkirk Association of Realtors is a not-for-profit organization whose membership comprises Realtors, appraisers and other businesses affiliated with the real estate profession. “SAR members make a difference in our community,” said in a press release.
