Summer reading finale set for July 29

| July 23, 2020 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Library will conclude its summer reading with a finale event at Memorial Park on Thursday, July 29, between 1–3 p.m.

The summer reading finale will feature Dave, The Magic Man, as a wandering wizard performing magic for all event attendees to see. In addition, there will be an obstacle course that will feature water to keep all participants fresh as they trek through the path and into a maze.

Activities include sidewalk chalk, cornhole, ring toss, and many other fun-filled events; prizes will be given to participants competing in the games and activities.

The summer reading finale is part of a more extensive summer and winter reading program that encourages residents to read not only for themselves but also for others.

There is a current community goal to read and record in a reading log 5,000 books or chapters.
