Library reopens

| June 4, 2020 1:00 AM

BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County Library has reopened.

The library is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All returning items will be kept in a designated area for a period of three days prior to processing them as a return, library officials said. There will be no late fees for items that had been checked out during the stay-at-home period. For items checked out as of June 1, the fine policy will resume.

Library officials said there will be four computers available for use and reminded residents to “check in to log in” as time will be limited to one hour per account per day.

At this time, the library’s regular monthy programs, Fab Lab sessions and computer tutoring classes are postponed until further notice. However, there is a chance that Storytime may resume outside mid-month.

Library patrons are asked to follow social distancing regulations on library premises.

The library’s temporary curbside service will continue in June. In addition, the service will continue for phone orders and community members should keep an eye out for fun characters delivering books to them.

Patrons will be notified by phone when items are ready for pickup.

Future updates will be posted online at boundarycountylibrary.com.
