Mirror Lake Ladies hit the links
Game of the Day for the Mirror Lake ladies, week of May 26-27, was “Ace of Aces.” On Tuesday evening, May 26, Julie Williams won Ace of the Month with a low gross of 39 and low net 33. Gerry Ann Howlett had the lowest putts.
Ace of the month for the Wednesday morning, May 27, players was Karen English with low net 33. Julie Williams was “closest to the pin” with her drive on Hole No. 2. Julie also won “low gross” with a 37. Gerry Ann Howlett, had the lowest putts. Good job.
The Mirror Lake ladies golf group meets every Tuesday evening and every Wednesday morning from May through September. Tuesday evening tee off time is 5 p.m., and Wednesday morning tee off time is 9 a.m. Any interested lady golfer is welcome to join.
This season the ladies are starting a “buddy” system for new golfers who would like to get started playing with a friend or mentor. They are making a list of members who are available to golf with a new golfer to show her the course, and give some moral support for new players — or not-so-new players who just haven’t played for awhile. We would like to show you the course and support your golfing efforts. Just call the pro shop at 208 267-5314 and tell Malaine, Julie or Ralph that you are interested!
Remember, ladies, that this summer, Mirror Lake allows children to golf for free, so Moms can bring their children and introduce them to the game as well!
With the more relaxed social distancing policies of this summer, the Mirror Lake ladies are planning their Margaritaville 18 hole golf day for July 15, 2015. It should be a very enjoyable day with all after-golf activities moved outdoors under the trees for a more relaxed and spread out golf fun day! Mark your calendars and practice up in our warmer and sunnier summer weather!
