Practices begin for rescheduled DYM program
The Bonners Ferry Distinguished Young Women program began its annual practices back in February for a planned program on April 25, 2020. However, the best laid plans were derailed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
After a long sabbatical, practices will be resuming shortly and a rescheduled program date of Saturday, June 27, 2020, has been set. Eight young women will showcase their talents on the new date. More information regarding ticket sales to the general public will be forthcoming.
The Bonners Ferry Distinguished Young Women program receives its scholarship award money entirely through the donations of local community members and businesses. Without this support the program would not exist.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated financial struggles for many of our local businesses, our scholarship fund donations are down this year so far. Donations of any size make a significant impact and allow Bonners Ferry’s best to achieve their higher learning goals.
If you are able to donate to this year’s program, please contact Andrakay Pluid at 208-946-7598; our outstanding participants are always grateful for your support.
