Jacqueline Shirley Moss, 89, passed away peacefully at home Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, in Sandpoint, Idaho, surrounded by family. She will be laid to rest with her husband, Bobbie Moss at the Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah, Wash.

Jackie was born on May 12, 1930, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, to Claude and Bernice Dodd. In the sixth grade her family moved to Seattle, and she later graduated from Lake Washington High School in 1948.

Jackie married Bobbie Moss on July 30, 1949, in Issaquah. She took pride in raising their two boys, Bob and Larry. Her son, Larry, died at the age of 19 due to a degenerative disease. Bobbie died a few years later from a heart attack.

She then went to work in a nursing home on Mercer Island for a couple years. After that, she worked for Sundstrand Manufacturing where she retired from.

Jackie met Paul Hedger and they traveled through almost every state. When they weren’t traveling, they lived on a boat in Galveston, Texas. Paul passed away and she moved to Fremont, Calif., to live with her sister, Maxine. After Maxine passed away, she moved to Everett to be closer to her son, Bob. In 2008, they moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and in 2019 to Sandpoint.

Jackie loved her family, traveling and cooking. She is survived by her son, Robert Moss (Gail Meredith) of Sandpoint; three grandchildren, Shenna (Paul) Redding of Cle Elum, Wash., Randy Moss of Everett, Wash., and Jennifer (Jake) Taylor of Los Angeles, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Wesley and Max Redding, and Finley Taylor.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bobbie Moss in 1983; friend Paul Hedger; son Larry Moss in 1974; one brother, Claude Dodd Jr; and two sisters, Pat Ames and Maxine Kenney.
