Local cast, crew to present ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’
BONNERS FERRY — Cast and crew are working hard in preparation for a four-show run of “Cheaper by the Dozen,” which premieres at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at the Pearl Theater.
Based on the book of the same name by Frank B. Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey and adapted for the stage by Christopher Sergel, Cheaper by the Dozen, made into a 2003 movie starring Steve Martin, is the story of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbreth, whose conflicting careers are rendered chaotic by their 12 children.
The Pearl show, directed by Kelly Collett, features a wonderful local cast and crew.
Narrator Ernestine is Elizabeth Bourassa, Narrator Frank is Eric Johnson.

Cheaper by the Dozen hits the Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash St., Bonners Ferry, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, March 12-14, with a matinee at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
Advance tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students at Mountain Mike’s, Bonners Books. Tickets at the door are $12. Doors and the Pearl Cafe open one hour before showtime.
The Pearl Theater, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization founded in 2012 with the goal of providing quality performing arts in an intimate historic downtown Bonners Ferry theater, is located at 7160 Ash St., Bonners Ferry.
