BCSD helping will meals, childcare

BONNERS FERRY — The Boundary County School District #101 (BCSD) is stepping up to help during the COVID-19 pandemic, providing childcare and meals.

BCSD is offering childcare services for school employees, healthcare employees, and emergency personnel, March 23-26, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Starting Monday, March 23, BCSD will deliver food for children under the age of 18 to five different locations:

Boundary County Middle School (by Band Room): 6577 Main Street, Suite 100, Bonners Ferry

Hope House: 5100 Camelot Road, Moyie Springs

Mt. Hall Elementary School: 1275 HWY 1, Bonners Ferry

Naples Elementary School: 145 School House Road, Naples

Three Mile Bus Loop: Bus Road, Bonners Ferry (by the airport)

Buses will deliver food to each location from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Each morning breakfast and lunch will be delivered during the set time.

Children must be present to receive a meal. People are asked to please stay in their vehicle and someone will come and ask how many children are in the car. If walking to the site, please observe social distancing of six feet apart.

BCSD is working with the BoCo program to deliver food at these same locations on Thursdays.
