The Fruit Growers Association was formed and will meet in the County Courthouse.

A large crowd attended Patron’s Day. They saw exhibits and heard programs. Another Patron’s Day will be held at the end of the term.

W.T. James is the new manager of the Kootenai Valley Produce Co. Store.

50 Years Ago

The County Fair Board is considering plans for developing a multi-purpose area.

The Jay-C-Ettes have elected Christie Sawyer as its’ new president.

The County Planning and Zoning Commission has been advised of large iron, copper, and nickel sulfide deposits in the eastern part of the county.

15 Years Ago

Less than a week after CEDU abruptly announced it was closing all its schools, former employees are wondering what to do. CEDU was the largest private employer in Boundary County with 130 on staff.

Jose Barajas wins Mr. BFHS.

Last weekend’s drenching rain was much needed.

Bonners Ferry High School sophomore, Becky Lowther, made the second state team.
