Memorial Day ceremony planned at Grandview Cemetery

BONNERS FERRY — Past Memorial Day events have included a parade sponsored by the American Legion Post 55, though this year, no one has applied for a special event permit through the city.

While there will be no parade, there will still be a ceremony to honor all men and women who have died in military service for the United States of America.

This year’s Monday, May 25 Memorial Day event will be held at the Grandview Cemetery in Bonners Ferry.

The Avenue of Flags will be installed from 7 to 7:30 a.m. by members of the Bonners Ferry VFW Post 3622. A ceremony and salute will begin at 10 a.m., also in Grandview Cemetery, located at the end of Cemetery Road in Bonners Ferry.
