MOSES LAKE — It will still be some months before The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presents its official plans for the church’s new temple in Moses Lake.
According to building official Kevin Myre, the city building department has held informal talks with the church but does not expect to receive formal design and engineering plans until “sometime this fall.”
According to church spokesman Daniel Woodruff, a “groundbreaking date has not been set yet” for the new temple, though he said church officials have begun working with the city on construction details.
On May 12, the city council voted to allow construction of the proposed new temple on the south side of Yonezawa Boulevard across from Yonezawa Park.
