The student body of BFHS and the basketball fans of the community are looking forward to the first basketball game of the year which will be played this Friday. The teams will be made up of members of the Senior and Junior classes.
A shipment of American Red Cross First Aid Kits arrived in Bonners Ferry yesterday. A kit will be placed in every school in the county. The kits include everything needed in the way of dressing, ointments, and bandages. They also include a first aid text book of instructions.
James Broad is suing the Village of Bonners Ferry. He claims the village owes him $4,000 for paving done last fall. Broad’s bid on the contract was for $27,000, but some of the work was not completed. Broad was paid according to the work completed.

Boundary County’s population is growing ahead of the state average. The 1970 Census shows that the county population increased by 9.7% to 6,371 residents: 63.9% urban; 56.1% rural.
Badgers had their moment of victory and captured their first Intermountain League football championship against the IHM Panthers 31-0.
Walt Worley and Roy Grove polled exactly the same number of votes to win surprisingly easy victories in their commissioner races. Totals: 1212.
