BONNERS FERRY — Boundary County jail received a 2020-21 certificate of compliance from the Idaho Sheriff’s Association Jail Standards for Detention Facilities in November.

According to Boundary County Sheriff Dave Kramer, after an initial inspection, the county was awarded a certificate of compliance for the fourth year in a row.

“This is the fourth year in a row that Boundary County Jail has met the jail standards,” Kramer said, “I am very prou8d of the dedicated work of all of the employees that have and continue to make our jail in compliance.”

Kramer believes it takes a lot of work to meet the state standards and remains in compliance with the Idaho Sheriff’s Association, mainly because the jail is around 40-years-old.
