A deal was closed last Thursday whereby Byron N. Hawks, proprietor of the Hawks Drug Store, purchased the W.P. Mahoney residence property in Park addition.
J.R. Meeker moved his blacksmith and repair shop last week into the building he recently purchased from C.W. Megquier, formerly used for the repair department of the Crescent Garage.
Thieves entered Reid’s Department Store last Wednesday night and stole about $3,000 worth of merchandise, a large portion of the loot consisted of silk and satin bolt goods, ladies’ dresses and waists.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Cossairt of Naples have just had word from their son, Cecil, stating he left the Great Lakes, Mich. training camp for U.S. aviation mechanics and would be stationed at San Diego.

The School Board is holding a special meeting to consider band facilities, the Naples multipurpose room, and the proposal of a new elementary school complex.
The Legion Membership Dinner attracted a large crowd of 150 to hear the featured speaker, Reverend Robert Koch of the First Baptist Church.
Search and Rescue found Lloyd Hydorn who was hunting in the Smith Creek area, even though he didn’t know he was lost. He had spent the night in his pick up. 15 Years Ago
Thanksgiving at 3Mile Corner means more than free food - laughter, people shaking hands, neighbors visiting each other, people meeting new people and greeting those they haven’t seen in months.
More than 50 youth, most from Boundary County, are bringing “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” to Bonners Ferry and Sandpoint.
Driving was treacherous in Boundary County on Tuesday, with early morning snowfall, a thaw and re-freezing in the evening.
