President Trump, First Lady test positive for the coronavirus
BONNERS FERRY — President of the United States Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus late Thursday night, according to the President’s Twitter account.
After President Trump’s top aide, Hope Hicks, tested positive for the virus early Thursday afternoon, the President was tested soon after. During travel this week on Air Force One, President Trump and Hicks had interacted multiple times while not wearing masks.
President Trump and the First Lady’s test results came back positive and the President announced that he and the First Lady will begin the “quarantine process” while they fight the virus.
As of the publishing of this story, the White House has yet to say how the President and First Lady will be quarantining and what kind of medical treatment they will be receiving during the process, but it is assumed that they will self-isolate in the White House.
