BONNERS FERRY — Second Harvest Inland Empire will be distributing food Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Recognizing the need for food sources in the community, Second Harvest agreed to do an unscheduled drive-through food distribution.

Individuals, along with Thrivent Financial and Bonners Ferry Veterinary Clinic, have agreed to help sponsor this event.

Second Harvest will have more than 20 volunteers to help set up and distribute food.

Each truck costs $2,000, and sponsors help pay for the trucks; Second Harvest has also received grants to defray the cost.

The truck will again be on the Fairgrounds’ west end, and cars will enter via the Fairground’s east side. There are no requirements to participate in this food distribution.
