For the week of Aug. 26, the Mirror Lake Ladies’ Game of the Day was “Ace of the Month” for August and “Closest to the Pin” on Hole No. 2.
There was a tie for Ace of the Month between Linda Hiatt and Ada Gardiner with nets of 36. Jenny Link won “Closest to the pin” on Hole 2 with a straight-on tee-off drive. Shane McTaggart won Low Gross with 44 and Low Net with 33. Therese Helmer won for Low Putts with only 14.
After an enjoyable morning round of golf, the ladies held their end of month meeting in which the remaining events of the season were discussed.
The Mirror Lake ladies golf group meets every Tuesday evening and every Wednesday morning from May through September. Tuesday evening tee off times are flexible and sometimes begin as early as 4:30 p.m., although the usual start time is 5 p.m. Wednesday morning tee-off time is 9 a.m.
Time is passing as we begin our last full month of golf for the 2020 season. We would still love to welcome new golfers to join us and help support our beautiful Mirror Lake Golf Club through season’s end to this year of so many restrictions. Any interested lady golfer is still welcome to join!
