BONNERS FERRY — Norma Umphress always saw Clover and Co. as her pre-retirement “thing” she could call her own. Now, with retirement right around the corner, she’s made the decision to close down her store.

Umphress started her business in 2018 as a way to serve the community, and on Tuesday, Sep. 29, Clover and Co. will close its doors for good after almost three years in business.

Conveniently located on Main Street between Mr. Sud’s car wash and the liquor store, Clover and Co. is primarily a clothing exchange, but Umphress also sells home decor goods and essential oils, among others.

A strong part of the community, Clover and Co.’s mission statement reads, “Each product has a story, whether it is a clothing item, a piece of furniture, or an accessory. At Clover & Co., we believe in stories being told and new stories being made.”

Umphress says she’s never kept a dime of the money over the last few years, always reinvesting her profits into the community and purchasing more clothes or items for the store.

As part of the final days clearance sale, all clothing and shoes are 50% off, and home decor, essential oils and select jewelry are 20% off.
