Pearl Theater reopening

| April 27, 2021 3:50 PM

The Pearl Theater will be holding a fundraising event Thursday, May 6 at 1 p.m. to allow the regional community to get reacquainted with our town's treasure.

There will be tours of the facility, the opportunity to become a member and sign up to serve as a volunteer on one of several committees. Donate to ring the bell.

Later that evening at 7 p.m., the Pearl Theater will host a special limited-seating-only fundraising event featuring its first live show in nearly a year.

Spokane comedian Phillip Kopczynski, whose performance at the Pearl was cancelled last year due to COVID-19, comes to Bonners Ferry with his new show "Freed and Vaccined."

Phillip has entertained crowds with his animated stand up across thousands of miles in the U.S. and Canada. No conga lines, no headset and inspirational message — just punch you in the gut comedy.

He has proven his amazing comedic talent, placing second at Seattle International, being a semi-finalist at Boston Comedy Festival, placing first at the World Series of Comedy Satellites, and winning the Valleyfest Clean Comedy Competition.

Advance tickets go on sale on the Pearl Theater website, https://thepearltheater.org, on Friday, April 23.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door, which open for the show at 6 p.m.

Get your tickets fast, as seating is limited to 50 persons.

As the COVID-19 pandemic is still with us, the board requests patrons wear masks and practice social distancing, and thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation. They look forward to laughing with you.

If you are unable to attend the event, please consider a secure tax-deductible donation via Paypal at https://PayPal.me/ThePearlTheater

The Pearl Theater board is working to fully reopen soon since the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted operations last year.
