BCSD welcomes students back

| August 30, 2021 1:00 AM

Boundary County School District #101 cannot wait for the new school year to begin. We are excited to welcome our students back to class on Tuesday, September 7th. We are excited to continue working on our mission to educate and empower all students to become lifelong learners and contributing members of society.

We want all our students to be ready to learn and be educated in a healthy environment. Please focus on the following during the coming year:

  1. Make sure you are resting your mind and body by getting enough sleep;
  2. Eat healthy;
  3. Stay hydrated;
  4. Stay home if you are ill;
  5. Limit your social media time;
  6. Set some academic goals; and
  7. Ask questions and have your parents/guardians ask you questions.

We are also excited to let you know we have filled all teaching and administrative positions in the district. We were thankful to fill the band/choir position this past week.

In addition to the focus listed above, we will have recommended preventative measures in place to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The district and individual school plans are accessible on our website at www.bcsd101.com . If anyone asks, we are NOT requiring vaccinations for our staff or students. Vaccinations are available through Panhandle Health and local pharmacies, not through the school district.

If you have any questions during the year, please contact your child(ren)’s teacher(s) and/or principal. The principals for each school are listed below:

Kylee Guthrie, Mount Hall, 208-267-5276

Robin Merrifield, Naples, 208-267-2956

Harmon Newhouse, Valley View, 208-267-5519

Scott Ferguson, Boundary County Middle School, 208-267-5852
