Care-N-share program needs donations
BONNERS FERRY — The Care-N-Share Christmas program is still accepting applications until Friday, Dec. 3.
The Care-N-Share program started more than 39 years ago when a toy contest needed a place to donate toys. Their main goal is to provide gifts to the needy children of Bonners Ferry at Christmas time.
“We provide a need and wish list for parents to fill out and we try to fill those requests,” said Linda Lederhos, program organizer. “Each child is given a new outfit and gifts depending on their need. We have so many groups and individuals that help by donating items and money and without them the program could not continue.”
Donations can be dropped off at Wells Fargo Bank, Mountain West Bank or E.L Internet Northwest or to Care-N-Share, 515014 U.S. 95, Bonners Ferry.
All donations stay in our community and will be given out on Dec. 20. If you would like to sponsor a child or family, you can call Lederhos at 208-290-1483 or by picking up a tag at Mountain West Bank.
The bank will have tags on the tree the first week of December and the gifts are due back to the bank by Dec. 17.
Applicants can apply at Mountain West Bank or call 208-290-1483 for more information.
