BONNERS FERRY — Terri Maine wants everyone to know the community needs to praise its city workers.
“This morning I was outside clearing the snow off my car, when I saw a police car pull up behind my car. I was curious, but kept clearing my car,” Maine said.
“A police officer steps out, grabs his snow brush, and helps me to clear the rest of the snow off. What a nice thing to do. We have friendly police officers here in Bonners Ferry. Thank you, again, officer!”
The experience prompted her to want to remind the community to thank those who work hard for the city.
“I think that we as a community need to praise our city workers for the fine job that they do like the highway workers who clear our streets of snow. Our public servants deserve to be praised for a job well done. Not criticized for something that the public happens to disagree with.”
