BONNERS FERRY β€” Boys varsity basketball played a challenging game against Priest River but could not overcome the point deficit.

According to Head Coach Nathan Williams, the Badgers gave a lot of effort but couldn't keep pace with Priest River due to their outside shooting and overall guard play.

At halftime, Priest river led the game with a score of 33-22, Priest River went 10-24 from the 3-point line, and half of them were 4+ feet behind the line.

The Badgers only made three 3-pointers and were missing their 2nd leading scorer, Ridge Williams.

Braeden Blackmore had a great game with 22-points for the Badgers, and Trent Krueger led all scorers with 30 points for Priest River.

"I'm very proud of the senior leadership this year and wish we could have pulled out a victory for Hayden and Josh,” Williams said, β€œIt is just one game; however, it gave us an opportunity to learn what we still need to work on and grow as a team."

Badgers made a hard-fought attempt to catch up, but Priest River made many free throws and maintained a lead. The final score was 82-60, with Priest River winning the match.
