League wins, seven and eight, came for the Bonners Ferry Badgers this past weekend, after the varsity five defeated both Priest River and St. Maries.

Ideal industrial growth for the Moyie Springs area was announced this week by Joe Nelson, a partner in Port-A-Cade, Inc. Nelson said that the sign-barricade manufacturing company will move from Spokane to the Quinton Manus shop building “in about 30 days.”

Meteorologist Robert T. Small of the Spokane Weather Bureau predicted this week the Kootenai River runoff at Libby at 104 percent of the 15 year average.

Four Bonners Ferry High School students competed at the Business Professionals of America Regional Conference held Jan. 12 at North Idaho College. The students are: Tristan Mullis, Alicia Hedrick, Jason Hurst, and Anna Sorge.

Retired registered nurse and active volunteer, Betty Mills, was awarded Gov. Dirk Kempthorne’s “Brightest Star” award during an honorary lunch by Bonners Ferry Mayor Darrell Kerby.

A fledgling team of boys’ lacrosse players from Bonners Ferry High School has formed, and the players are asking for donations to help fund equipment, pay referees, and maintenance fees for field upkeep.
