Located along the Moyie River, the Silver Spoon Mine produced a minimal amount of lead and silver.

First operated by R.L. Hoisington in 1930, it was reorganized by A.J. Kent in 1933 as the Silver Spoon Mining Company, Inc. The officers of the company were: President A.J. Kent, Secretary/Treasurer T.E. Lavin, Trustee H.I. Monks, and Trustee C.H. Cleveland. The Silver Spoon Mining Company operated from an office in the I.O.O.F (Old Fellows) building which sat at the present site of The Plaza Downtown. All that remains of the Silver Spoon is a small entrance to a tunnel and moss covered tailings to remind family members of a time of hopes and dreams.
