BCRCC demand is an egregious abuse of power

Senator Jim Woodward received 22,433 votes in the November 3, 2020 election. The recent action by the Bonner County Republican Central Committee asking Senator Woodward to resign is an egregious abuse of power. The committee relied on the scoring guide by the Idaho Freedom Foundation in making their decision.

Senator Woodward represents all of District 1. He does not represent the Idaho Freedom Foundation. If the voters are unhappy with Senator Woodward, Idaho’s Constitution allows for a recall. There is also the 2022 election. But having the voters decide is, apparently, not good enough for the Bonner County Party apparatchiks.
