Has God failed us? Or have we failed Him?

| June 17, 2021 1:00 AM

Can we trust whom we don't know? Do I know God? If I do, how much do I know Him?  All I know about Him is through studying the Bible and in the sermons I hear from pastors in churches.

Through my studies and learning I acknowledge God as the omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent Spirit Being.  The Creator.

According to the Bible God said at the end of the sixth day of creation, "It was very good." God rested on the seventh day after He had finished making an ideal world for me and all of us.

With Adam and Eve representing all mankind, each of us were urged by God to "Be fruitful and multiply and have dominion over all creation." He is trusting me and all of us to accomplish these three great gifts.

But what does it mean to be "fruitful"? Are our actions "fruitful" in the eyes of God?

Is it "fruitful" in God's eyes for us to do undesirable things without cease. Ill-minded people are doing whatever evil things they wish. Yet God is obviously not intervening to stop their wrongdoings.

And what do I see Him doing in our every day lives? I see more struggles than joy all around me and in world events.

And so the doubt rises in trusting Him.

I wonder … has He failed us? Or have we failed Him and ourselves?
