Doris Jean Marshall Thomas Talcott

| June 28, 2021 12:50 PM

At the young age of 92 and still with the looks of Katherine Hepburn, our precious Doris Jean Marshall Thomas Talcott passed away on June 26, 2021, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

As a young woman, Jeanie met the love of her life, William (Bill) Thomas, when he came home on leave from the Navy at the end of World War II. They married and had three children, Darla Kay Thomas, William Michael Thomas, and Douglas Erwin Thomas. Both Darla and Doug were born with Muscular Dystrophy, and Jeanie lovingly cared for them 24/7 until they passed on.

She was preceded in death by her one daughter; a son; and two husbands; as well as five sisters; a brother; and a grandson, David Thomas. She is survived by her son, Michael; two grandsons, Josh Thomas and William Thomas; 12 great-grandchildren; plus a host of nieces, and nephews.

Jeanie loved life, dancing, and music. She won "Queen for a Day" on a popular TV program in the 1950s. She went sky diving for her 65th birthday. She traveled the world with her second husband, Jim Talcott.

Her last adventure was riding her great-grandchild’s bicycle at 92.

She will be interned in the Perris, Calif., community cemetery.
