Public will have to pay for road upgrades

I wonder what the results of the traffic study for the five acres of commercial development, 13 acres of housing on Elk Road in Moyie Springs were? Or if it was ever done?
Asking the developer to provide a traffic study is voluntary, at least in Moyie Springs. It would allow the state, county and city to plan, budget and allocate funds for widening lanes, adding turn lanes, speed limits, lighting, signs etc., for the added cars (100-plus) using North Division and the “blind” corner at the Elk Road and U.S. 2 intersection. Of course, the extra approach to Highway 2 may lessen the impact on North Division and Elk Road.
Who will pay for all the upgrades needed? You and I. Local matters.
