Grace Bible Fellowship 25th Annual Awana Grand Prix
BONNERS FERRY — Creativity and fun-loving competition were the name of the game as Grace Bible Fellowship and Springs of Living Water Free Methodist Awana clubbers took time out from memorizing and reciting bible verses, playing fast-action games and participating in Bible-based lessons to race their handcrafted pinewood creations.
This year’s winners for Beginning Design were: Weston Teele taking 1st place; Rickter Spindler 2nd; and Dakota Bowlby taking the 3rd place trophy home.
Advanced Design winners were: Piper Kizanis capturing 1st place, Logan Craig taking 2nd, and Emma Leonard taking the 3rd place Advanced Design trophy home.
Winners in Trek/Journey/ Open Design were: Alan Hinson taking the first place trophy, Kendall Thorne earning 2nd and Samuel Frederico taking the 3rd place trophy.
Burning up the Speed division track were: Logan Craig racing to 1st; Finley Kizanis close behind in 2nd; and Jon Hollabaugh right on their tails, taking 3rd.
Winners in the Trek/Journey/Open Class Speed competition were: Matthew Craig taking the 1st place trophy, Taylor Dodd close behind in 2nd, and Alan Hinson closing the gap in 3rd.

Also, special thanks to Si Thompson and his sons Riley and Jase for bringing, setting up, and then picking up again the beautiful Rich Carlson Memorial Speedway track that Nancy Carlson and her boys donated to the Scouts; This is our 25th year using it as well, and it is still deeply appreciated.
