Beverly 'Bev' Adele Wilson Saul, 90

Beverly “Bev” Adele Wilson Saul, 90, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, passed away Oct. 30, 2021, at Sunset Home.

Born in Westwood, Calif., on July 24, 1931, to Ted and Elizabeth “Betty” Dittmar Wilson, she was the eldest, with two younger brothers, Robert “Bobby” and Theodore “Teddy” Wilson. She graduated from San Juan High School in Citrus Heights, Califo., in 1948. Married her high school sweetheart, Melvin E. Saul on Aug. 14, 1948, in Reno, Nev. They were married for 72 years until Melvin passed away on Feb. 21, 2021.

Beverly had a heart for volunteer work. She served with the American Red Cross for 25 years in their bloodmobile operation. In addition, she volunteered as a Pink Lady at hospitals in Woodland, Calif., and Grants Pass, Ore.

She was a 60-year member of Beta Sigma Phi, an international women’s community friendship sorority. She held many offices and served on many committees over the years. She was especially proud of the scholarships the sorority provided to local students each year.

She is survived by her children, John Saul and wife, Diane of Grants Pass, Carl Saul Jackson and husband, Dan of Burleson, Texas, and Mike Saul and wife, Gayle of Sandpoint, Idaho; her grandchildren, Kari (Ryan) Woods of Minot, N.D., Kelsi (Brad) Rogers of Burleson, Texas, Gregory (Veronica) Saul of Grants Pass, and Chelsea (Mark) Saul Weagal of Reno; great-grandchildren Jayden, Peyton and Leo Saul of Grants Pass, and Flint Rogers of Burleson.
