BCSD Emergency School Closures

With the winter months at hand, Boundary County School District officials said in the event of school closures or emergencies, information will be announced through local media.

The information will be broadcast on the following radio stations: KBFI (1450 AM), KPND (95.3 FM), KPBX (92.1 FM), and K102.

TV stations that will announce school closures are KREM (Channel 2), KXLY (Channel 4), and KHQ (Channel 6). Emergency school closure information will also be on their emergency telephone line 208-267-8934.

The district will also be using the power announcement system to notify parents, guardians and staff at any school emergency, including school closures. It will also be posted on the district’s website at www.bcsd101.com and posted on 9b.news and the bonnersferryherald.com

Parents and students should also remember inclement weather and winter road conditions may cause buses to be less punctual, and to dress accordingly to meet these conditions.

THANKSGIVING BREAK:

There will be NO SCHOOL the entire week of Nov. 22-26 for the Thanksgiving break. School will resume Monday, Nov. 29.

CHRISTMAS BREAK:

The last day of school before Christmas Break is Thursday, Dec. 16 and is a full school day. Christmas vacation will begin Monday, Dec. 20-31. School will resume on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022.
