It’s coming, and even though we are just getting started in fall, winter is just around the corner. The Boundary County Sheriff’s Office is once again offering a community class on winter driving for those that maybe have not driven on winter roads yet, are new to driving or maybe want a refresher. This is a classroom presentation- no actual driving to help build your knowledge on being a safer and more prepared driver for when the winter roads begin to be covered with ice and or snow.

The class will be held at the Boundary County Annex on Oct. 15 from 1- 3 p.m. Les Schwab Tire store will have some tires to show the difference between winter and summer tires and offer a discount coupon for those that take the class.

Sheriff Kramer and the Deputies who have responded to many preventable winter driving accidents over the years hope that some education and training prior to winter may help prevent someone inexperienced in winter driving from being involved in an accident.

If you would like to attend, please contact Amanda at the Sheriff’s Office at 208-267-3151 extension 217 or email at atompkins@boundarysheriff.org. Class size is limited.
