Clee Hollice Cossairt

Clee Hollice Cossairt passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

He was born Nov. 19, 1933, in Naples, Idaho, to Cecil and Carol (Aldridge) Cossairt. He attended several schools including Highland Flats, Movaria, Spokane, Wash., and Naples, and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School, Class of 1951.

Clee married his high school sweetheart, Betty Rice on Jan. 2, 1952, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, and they had six children; twins Karen and Karla, Debra, Wally, Kevin and Toby. He worked at several lumber mills in the Northwest, retiring as head saw filer from the Crown Pacific mill in Bonners Ferry in 1995.

Clee enjoyed family gatherings, fishing, camping and hunting, including a few trips to Alaska. And he never turned down a sweet treat, especially apple pie and ice cream.

He is survived by his six children, Karen (John) Rugg of Lewiston, Idaho, Karla (Dave) Ankrum of Athol, Idaho, Debra (Larry) Shepherd of Post Falls, Idaho, Wally (Sherrie) Cossairt and Kevin (Laresa) Cossairt, both of Bonners Ferry, and Toby (Lisa) Cossairt of Pasco, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He’s also survived by brothers Kay (Barbara) Cossairt of Bonners Ferry, Ace Cossairt of Laramie, Wyo., Art (Lynda) Cossairt of Spokane, and Keith (Chris) Cossairt of San Diego, Calif.; and sister Cathy (Dan) Summers of Pomeroy, Wash.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty in 2015; sister Claire and husband Jim Godwin; sister-in-law Charlotte Cossairt and his parents.
