Judith Lynn Mace, 74

Judith Lynn Mace, 74, passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at her residence in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Judy was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, March 3, 1947, to her parents, Lewis E. Mace and W. Jean (Deubel) Mace. Judy was preceded in death by her father, Lewis.

She is survived by her mother, Jean; her sister, Ginger (Mace) Collins (Walter R. “Dick” Collins); her brother, Dr. James Mace (Suzanne (Hagan) Mace); and her aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Judy’s early years and education were in Bonners Ferry. She graduated from the University of Idaho with a bachelor’s degree and Oregon State University with a triple master’s degree. Judy was married to Will Venard for seven years.

She owned and operated the Bijou Theatre in Lincoln City, Ore., for 17 years before returning to Bonners Ferry. Judy taught school in Boundary County and served on the county library and museum boards. Over the years, she very much enjoyed her cats and time spent painting.
