Proposed ambulance district levy proves local matters

Boise legislators are sitting on a mountain of CARES, ARPA, Trump dollars, Biden bucks, etc. Yet many municipalities and entities within are asking homeowners, taxpayers to pay more via levy increases.

It is like getting two servings of desert. First served by homeowners, taxpayers, then trickled down out of Boise.

The current ambulance district levy is .04% and they are asking for a raise to .06%.

Anything above the current levy of .04% must be approved by voters.

The current levy (.04%) is approximately $32.09 per $100k,000 of assessed value. Raising it to .06% will add $28 per $100,000 assessed value.

Kazam! $32.09 becomes $60 per $100,000 assessed value.
