Every boy of Bonners Ferry and vicinity who wishes to become a Boy Scout should attend a meeting to be held at the high school gymnasium. The meeting, to be held in the gym, is where the Bonner-Boundary Boy Scout Executive, A. Dayton will organize four troops.

The Bonners Ferry Shoe Hospital is the name of the new shoe repair shop which has been opened in the Casey Hotel building, formerly occupied by the Transeau Shoe Repair Shop.

George R. Causton went to Spokane. He purchased a new three drill compressor plant and complete equipment, which will be shipped to Moyie Springs where it will be used in the driving of a 200 foot tunnel at the site of the city power plant; the Cynide Gold Mining Co. having secured the contract from the city for the work.

A group of former Bonners Ferry residents arrived here Tuesday, Oct. 19, with headquarters at the Deep Creek Motel, for the purpose of a “Get Together,” to renew old acquaintances and to reminisce about the days of their childhood and youth.

Bonners Ferry Badgers lost an important football game Friday to the Post Falls Trojans, 8-0. This leaves Bonners with a 2-1 league record and only one home game remaining.

Nearly 100 people attended the fall meeting of North Idaho Chamber of Commerce held last week in Bonners Ferry. Max Hill, vice president here, said he was a little disappointed in the light turnout.

Bonners Ferry Curves is participating in National Domestic Violence Awareness Month this month in an effort to make people aware of the seriousness of domestic violence.

Melody Braden’s second district title helped the BFHS girls cross country team claim the District I-II 3A championship Friday at Bonners Ferry. Casey Hampton finished second, while Mandy Sandaker was third.

The BFHS boys soccer team went 1-2 at the state tournament over the weekend and finished in sixth place.
