Glenn Aby Sr.
Glenn Aby Sr. passed away Sept. 2, 2021, of Alzheimer’s and dementia at the age of 91.
He was born on March 28, 1929, in Modesto, Calif., and moved to San Diego. After high school, he went into the trade as a carpenter and joined the Union.
Glenn lived in the San Diego area until February 1972; he then packed up and headed for North Idaho with his wife, son and family.
He made a home 30 miles north of Bonners Ferry. Glenn went back to his carpentry, and a few years later, put in an RV Park. It was known as Idyl Acres, a beautiful 10-space park.
In later years, he and his wife would winter in Hope, Ariz. He lived in Bonners Ferry until the summer of 2018 when he and Grace left Idaho to move into a senior living facility in Kennewick, Wash., close to their son and daughter-in-law.
He is survived by his wife, Grace; children Colette, and son Glenn and wife Cheryl; three grandsons and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial for Glenn will be planned at a later date.
