Toasty Mobile Saunas brings the relaxation to you
Looking to kick back and relax but don't want to hit the gym?
Toasty Mobile Saunas may be the solution. A mobile sauna service, the company takes the relaxation to their customers — from Boundary County to Kootenai and Bonner counties. The mobile saunas can be delivered to private properties and feature both daily and weekly rentals, company officials said. In addition, Toast Mobile Saunas offers hourly rentals at designated locations in Bonners Ferry, Sandpoint and Coeur d'Alene.
"Here, our hospitality is warm, and our saunas are hot," the company said on its website. "At Toasty we love to pamper our guests so that no matter how long their time with us, they leave feeling refreshed, revitalized, and longing for their return visit."
Toasty's traditional wood-fired saunas are lined with aromatic cedar, which is carefully toasted in a Japanese method called shou sugi ban, to strengthen and preserve the wood. It also reduces water permeability and creates a rich and beautiful style — adding to the feels warm and inviting atmosphere the pair wanted to create in launching the business.
The couple's love for saunas and a desire to help the community relax and live their best lives were behind the opening of their Toasty Mobile Saunas.
"We love both the quiet time and the distraction-free family time in the sauna — for thinking and for connecting with those close to us in a heartfelt and healthy way," Toasty officials said on their website.
The company is kicking off its hourly open sauna sessions today, April 7, in Bonners Ferry and will have one of its sauna trailers parked at Iron Mike's Gym, 64450 U.S. 2 from 3-8 p.m. For the kick-off day, Toasty Mobile Saunas is offering complimentary 25-minute sessions for up to two people per family. Those interested do not need to be a member of Iron Mike's to take part in a sauna session.
In lieu of payment, the company is accepting donations for the Bonners Ferry Senior Hospitality Center. Toasty officials said they wanted to give something back to the center after it loaned them crutches on short notice following an accident.

"We founded this business out of our love for saunas and because we wanted to create a space where the local community could easily access the health and wellness benefits of sauna sessions," the couple said.
Tons said sauna lovers often seek out ways to incorporate sessions while taking a break from the daily grind — or on vacation as a way to detox and unplug from daily life.
"This is why we are also making our mobile saunas available for delivery to private properties for daily, weekend and weekly rentals as well," she said.
